Patriotic Fairies Wishing You a Fairy Good Day!

Happy Fourth of July!

Hello everyone, Patty here and I am so excited to share this project I created with a patriotic flair to it.

To create this scene, I stamped all of the images from the Pixi Dust Fairy stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I also stamped the banner from the It’s Your
Birthday stamp set. The images were stamped on some alcohol marker friendly
paper.

I cut some small stars out of masking paper and put them on the roof of
the house and on the belt of the curly haired fairy to mask the paper under my
coloring. You don’t get as crisp of a line masking with alcohol markers as you
would with ink blending, but it is a pretty clear image. I wanted the house to
give a nod to the American flag.

For the navy blues, I used Copic Markers B24, B26, B29 and B39. For the white,
I used W0, W1, W2, W3 and W4. For the reds, I used R39, R46 and R35. For
the darker skin tones, I used BV 23, E15, E13 and E11. For the lighter skin
tones, I used E00, E02 and E11. For the black hair, I used C4, C5, C7 and C9.
For the brown hair and the door and window trim, I used E23, E25, E27 and E30.
I used BG11 for the wings and the windows and Y15 anywhere you see yellow.

Once I had completed all of the coloring, I cut out all of my images using the co-
ordinating die set. I grabbed my Fall Box Card die set and the Unicorn Mug
die set.

I cut the Fall Box Card set out of green card stock and ink blended over
it using Catherine Pooler’s Grass Skirt ink. I didn’t use all of the layers, I only
used three layers. This set is very customizable, you can use up to five layers!
You can also cut an additional back layer out of white card stock so you can write a note to the recipient.  When I had my layers from the Fall Box Card set created and glued together, I started to glue my images to the different layers.

I cut flowers out using the Unicorn Mug set and scattered them about the design. This added so much cuteness! I cut clouds out using Hero Arts Infinity Cloud die set and glued them to Judy Kins Window Plastic stems that I had cut so they looked like they are floating. I then stamped some fire works on the Window plastic and heat embossed using Wow! Embossing powders. I cut the fire works out so they had a stem so I could glue them in the back.  I then stamped out my sentiment and adhered it to my first layer of the Fall Box

Card and my project is complete!

Thank you so much for joining me today. Enjoy the holiday!
